Regular testing is a key part of a comprehensive electrical maintenance program. Testing your vacuum interrupters during scheduled outages can identify which devices need to be replaced to avoid costly vacuum circuit breaker failures.

The MAC-TS4 vacuum interrupter tester uses magnetron atmospheric condition testing to determine the condition of vacuum interrupters in the field, shop, or lab. When testing finds an interrupter that needs maintenance or replacement, Vacuum Interrupters can help.

That was the case for Mellon Reliability Services, whose technicians conducted testing on six 25-year-old vacuum circuit breakers and found that three of the Westinghouse/Cutler-Hammer/Eaton VCP-W units needed new vacuum interrupters.

Vacuum Interrupters provided RVI-WL-35573 and RVI-WL-34952B replacement vacuum interrupters within days of the initial inquiry so the Mellon team could quickly install the new devices in the field during the scheduled outage, ensuring reliability of the equipment for years to come.

Our replacement vacuum interrupters are built to provide excellent high-voltage insulation, high cumulative and breaking capacity, exclusive internal torsion control, and an exceptional vacuum seal, thanks to a fine alumina ceramic. No modification is required for proper installation in existing vacuum circuit breakers and contactors.
